Freedom Rider from Atlanta, GA. to Jackson, Mississippi. We had four young children and I wanted my country to be the best it could be for them to grow up in. The jail experience was one of the worst in my life but I would do it again and again.
I wish this generation (and it may have to) would have the same passion for civil rights that we had to nonviolently protest. Segregation of any kind must be stopped where ever it rears its ugly head so that we can overcome some day.
