I worked with people trying to get to vote. I was involved in most of the marchs. I worked close with Rv. T.Y.Rogers

I was involved in the Tuscaloosa movement from 1963-1966. During that time I worked with Jim Foreman to register voters, picketed businesses, and integrated buses, lunch counters, and drive-in movies. We picketed Ziegler's Meat Co. for firing Joe Mallisham until he was given his job back. Additionally, I was a Marshall for the marches in Tuscaloosa, AL led by T.Y. Rogers. Dr. King frequently spoke with us at the First African Baptist Church. In 1965 we joined together for the march from Selma, AL to Montgomery, AL.

I moved to Indiana the last day of Dec, the day before Mrs Wallace took over as Gov. of the state [of Alabama].
