Remembrance of Lowndes County, Alabama
I was born and raised in Lowndes County, Alabama. Got involved as a student to get blacks in Lowndes Co. registered to vote and encouraged them to run for political office. Helped organize the Lowndes County Freedom Organization and Lowndes County Black Panther Party.
Was mayor of White Hall for thirty years. I continue to live in Lowndes County and continue the struggle every day of my life.
