Organized communities, voter's registration drives, I spent 5 months in jail defending the rights of a retarded black man in Decatur, Alabama. I also lead the march through town in one of the largest civil rights demonstration at the close of the decade. I was awarded the Rosa Parks award in 1979 annual convention in Norfolk, Virginia. Presently retired and still a member of SCLC Organization. (Veteran).
