Lonnie King, Jr served as the founding chairman of the Committee on appeal for Human Rights in Atlanta, Georgia from inception in 1960, to August of 1961.
I also was a founding member of the Student Non-violent Coordinating Committee, and served on its first Executive Committee representing the State of Georgia. Period covered 1960 to 1962.
