With heavy heart and deep gratitude, we mourn the loss of civil rights photographer, historian, peace-maker and great friend, Bob Fitch who passed last night from complications due to Parkinson's. He dealt with his illness forcefully yet gracefully until the end. He asked us to continue to help identify the remaining photos of the first African American candidates for office in Alabama. Thank you for helping to preserve his memory and his commitment to the grassroots heroes of the civil rights movement. Wilcox County Freedom Fighters.
