Canton Blackout (boycott) Flyers

[On June 23 1966, the Meredith Mississippi March Against Fear was brutally attacked and teargassed by Mississippi State Troopers, Madison County sheriffs, and Canton police. In response, the Madison County Freedom Movement which had been organized by CORE years ealier declared a "Black Out for Black Power" (boycott) of Canton's downtown stores all of which were owned by whites. This was the second such Blackout, the first having been a successful effort in 1964 also to protest police brutality and denial of voting rights.]
