The Berkeley-East Bay Gray Panthers is having a celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. on his birthday, Sunday, January 15th at 2PM at Redwood Gardens, 2951 Derby Street, Berkeley. We would like to honor activists whe went to the south during that important era.
If you were there and can come to the Gray Panther event, please let me know.
We expect about 50 people. Refreshments will be served. The program should last about 30-45 minutes, and each activist may wish to give a brief description of his or her experience. If you have handouts, we ask that they be in 12 point or larger print. We will have a display of artifacts from the era.
