This is an update on Jim Forman situation:
Several of us spent Christmas Day with him and he was as cheerful and engaging as possible, [under the circumstances].
The following morning, the 26th, he had a severe seizure during breakfast and was rushed to the hospital. Currently, he is in intensive care at the George Washington University Medical Center.
As you know, patients in intensive care do not have private telephones. However, friends and relatives will be taking shifts to insure someone will be with him at all times.
The doctors are hoping to restore Dr. Forman to the baseline where he was prior to the seizures. I will keep you informed about the situation as I learn anything.
Please share this information with your SNCC colleagues. Also, if folk send their contact information and/or email addresses to the Friends Of Forman, [at this email address], we will keep them informed as well.
Thank you and Happy Kwanzaa.
Peace,
Brenda
