Dear Civil Rights Movement Veterans,

The Ruleville/Sunflower County Black Historical Society (RSCBHS) is planning the 40th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Movement Reunion in Sunflower County, a reunion to commemorate the contributions of the many people who so courageously dedicated their time, energy, and effort to work for equality for all people in Sunflower County and surrounding areas. The Reunion will be held on August 5-7, 2004 in Indianola, Mississippi and Ruleville, Mississippi; the hometown of Fannie Lou Hamer.

We are inviting all civil rights movement veterans, who were active in the civil rights movement in Sunflower County, as well as, any individuals interested in learning more about the civil rights movement in Sunflower County.
