On June 23, 2004, some visitors from the James E. Chaney Foundation, Inc. will stop in Cleveland, Ruleville and Money, Mississippi as part of their Freedom Tour 2004. James Chaney, Andrew Goodman and Michael Schwerner were three civil rights workers who were murdered forty years ago as they came to Mississippi to help register Blacks to vote.

Story, Fannie Lou Hamer, Aaron Henry, Rueben Smith, Rev. Sammie Rash and many others were actively involved in the Civil Rights Movement. Trees will be planted in Ruleville, Mississippi in honor of Fannie Lou Hamer and Money, Mississippi in honor of Emmit Till
Some local churches and businesses have pledged a minimum of $200.00 donation to assist The Freedom Tour 2004 Committee. This Committee is, also, undertaking the task of purchasing a "Granite Sign" for Amzie Moore Park in Cleveland.
